Now more than 50 miles long were it to be laid out end-to-end, The AIDS Memorial Quilt is too large to display in any one location. Yet, even at this size, it does not begin to reflect the number of people who have succumbed to the pandemic. As the film traces The Quilt's history and continued growth, we examine how stigma, discrimination, social status and the lack of access to care exacerbate a disease that has already claimed the lives of roughly 30 million people and currently infects another 34 million men, women and children around the globe--including 50,000 new infections a year in the US alone.

We are proud to announce the launch of our Fall 2016 HIV/AIDS Youth Education Program!

The program combines the time-tested strength of The AIDS Memorial Quilt National Display Program with the compelling feature-length film, The Last One. Together, fabric and film will travel the Nation to inform, inspire and ultimately usher in a new era in HIV/AIDS awareness and advocacy.

For World AIDS Day (December 1), The Last One is airing on Showtime Networks nearly a dozen times from now until the end of the year. Click here for upcoming airings >

Also, on World AIDS Day (December 1), Patricia Nalls, whose story and organization (The Women's Collective) are featured prominently in The Last One, will host a screening of the documentary at 12:30 PM at the E Street Cinema located at 555 11th Street NW, Washington DC. The event is free and lunch will be provided. The film will also be shown on World AIDS Day at San Quentin State Prison in Marin County North of San Francisco, and Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, New York.
